EVIDENCE EVALUATION SERVICE
This service of
examination and evaluation concerning document authenticity is
based upon the application of the physical sciences to the
solution of investigative questions that are law related, i.e.
Forensic Science.
The approach employed
in the solution of client problems is to first conduct a problem
analysis to obtain a clear definition of the problem that is at
hand. This ordinarily takes into account the law
situation; i.e., the problem and quantum of proof.
Then, upon receiving
or collecting the necessary samples and information, analyses
and evaluations are made to determine facts from which
conclusions are drawn.
Typical authenticity
problems involve signatures, other cursive and handprinted
entries, photocopy cut and paste transfers, tracing, careful
imitation, alterations, etc.
Aside from in-house
capabilities, a variety of the most modern and sophisticated
resources is available through associates to afford the client a
maximum of technological capability in the solution of physical
evidence problems.

The review and
evaluation of document authenticity is based upon 26 years of
crime laboratory experience as a Forensic Document Examiner
followed by more than 20 additional years in both criminal and
civil litigation.
Preliminary
assessments of a situation with a minimum of examination and
analysis are employed for clients who require a basis for
decision making in the early stages of case consideration.
