Alabama

This site is under construction. As Alabama state codes and court cases become available online, we will be providing links to them.

Alaska

Alaska's site is free of clutter, concise and easy to use and understand. The cases date back over ten years and the case information available is abundant and very well organized. Researching a statute was fairly easy with the search function.

Arizona

Arizona's site is well organized and fairly self-explanatory. In order to read Arizona court cases online, you need to download a special viewer for reading Portable Document Format (PDF) files. The cases filed online are available for a minimum of 180 days from the filing date. The court case search feature took a long time to produce results and the search function utilized in looking up statutes was very slow.

Arkansas

Arkansas' site is neat and organized. Court cases are available online from 1994 to the present. A full-text search may be performed or you may search the cases by name. You may also choose a browse option and search cases by month and date of filing. The search function produced results quickly and the case information was very detailed. As Arkansas state codes become available online, we will be providing links to them.

California

California's site is fairly easy to navigate and is well ordered. A 60 day registry of cases is maintained, however, online case information is limited and brief. The search function is not exactly "quick and easy" and comes with an exhaustive "how to use" guide. The process of researching a statute, however, was quite simple and the search ran smoothly and quickly.

Colorado

Colorado's site is systematic and quite simple to use. Full-text court cases are available online from October 1996 to the present, however, case information is available to members only. Looking up a statute is fairly easy and obtainable; the search was very quick.

Connecticut

Connecticut's site is structured and straightforward. The site employs an Electronic Bulletin Board System (EBBS) that allows the electronic transfer of information to personal computers, however, you must subscribe in order to take advantage of cases online. The search function employed for the purpose of researching statutes was easy to use and yielded results quickly.

Delaware

As Delaware state codes and court cases become available online, we will be providing links to them.

Florida

Florida's site is very easy to use and understand. Available cases date back to 1995. The case information is substantial and well organized. Researching a statute was quick and easy with the search function.

Georgia

Georgia's site is well developed and quite organized. Cases from 1996 to the present are available online and a brief synopsis is given in reference to each case. Regarding looking up a statute, the search produced results promptly.

Hawaii

Hawaii's site is fairly structured and simple to manage. Only court cases filed in 1998 are available online. Most cases must be downloaded to be viewed. Information is complete. As Hawaii state codes become available online, we will be providing links to them.

Idaho

Idaho's site is nicely maintained. All cases are posted the day of their release and removed from the site after 60 days. The search function is quick and very easy to use. Researching a statute is fairly easy with the search function, which produced results immediately.

Illinois

This site is rather self-explanatory and contains cases filed since 1996. Cases filed prior to 1996 are not available. Case information is abundant, however, the search function was slow and did not yield results before the operation timed out. As Illinois state codes become available online, we will be providing links to them.

Indiana

Indiana possesses a very organized and concise site. Online case coverage dates from January 1, 1995 to the present. Three lists of cases are provided: cases indexed alphabetically by the name of the first party; cases indexed alphabetically by the name of the second party; and cases indexed by the date of decision. Each index allows you to retrieve the cases in one of three formats: hypertext; ASCII; and WordPerfect 6.0. Looking up a statute was very quick and easy.

Iowa

Iowa's site is very efficient and well developed. Researching a statute using the search function yielded results quickly. As Iowa court cases become available online, we will be providing links to them.

Kansas

Kansas' site is free of clutter and easy to use and understand. The cases date back to 1996 and are very well organized. A search can be performed by keyword, docket number or date. Looking up a statute was fairly simple.

Kentucky

Kentucky's site was not very user-friendly. There was too much information to wade through when researching a statute, and the search function did not yield results. As Kentucky court cases become available online, we will be providing links to them.

Louisiana

Louisiana's site is well developed and case information is complete. Cases are currently available from February 28, 1996 to the present. As Louisiana state codes become available online, we will be providing links to them.

Maine

Maine's site is well organized and case information is concise and thorough. Court cases have been available online on this site since January 1, 1997. In regard to researching a statute, there was an overabundance of information and the search did not produce any results.

Maryland

Maryland's site is satisfactorily ordered. Court cases are posted chronologically under the year filed and date back to 1995. The search was not very user-friendly, however, cases were complete and organized. The search function employed in looking up a statute was laborious and did not render an outcome.

Massachusetts

Massachusetts' site is crowded and not straightforward. Locating court cases was difficult. To access case information, you must subscribe to Lawyers Weekly or sign up for a free trial. The search function used in regard to researching a statute was easy to use and yielded results quickly.

Michigan

Michigan's site is pleasantly structured and simple to navigate. Court cases from October 1, 1995 to present are available online. The search function was quick and easy. Case information was nicely organized and abundant. The process of looking up a statute was efficient and straightforward.

Minnesota

Minnesota has a nicely presented and organized site. Cases filed May 1996 to the present are available online. The search function produced results quickly and the case information was fairly detailed. Statute research was self-explanatory and very user-friendly.

Mississippi

Mississippi's site is easy to navigate and is well organized, however, case information available is limited. Court cases date back to 1996. Mississippi does not allow access to state codes unless you subscribe to the site.

Missouri

Missouri offers a pleasantly organized site. The search function for court cases is easy to use and retrieves information quickly. Case information is substantial and detailed but only dates back to 1997. Looking up a statute was fairly easy without utilizing the search function.

Montana

Montana's site is very simple and extremely easy to use. Court cases are available online from January 1997 to the present. Case information is detailed and complete. The statute search function generated results quickly.

Nebraska

Nebraska's site is neat and efficient. The search function was expeditious in researching a statute. Nebraska features the listing of the calls for the State Supreme Court, Appellate Court, and the Workers Compensation Court free online. The opinions for the Appellate Court and the Supreme Court, however, are pay services. 

Nevada

Nevada's site is concise and uncomplicated. Reviewing a statute was fairly easy using search. As Nevada court cases become available online, we will be providing links to them.

New Hampshire

New Hampshire's site is well developed and easy to navigate. Court cases filed after November 1995 are available online. The search application allows a person to research a statute in under five minutes in most instances.

New Jersey

The New Jersey site is very organized and includes a full-text archive of court cases dated March 1994 to the present. The search function was easy to use and fairly quick. Case information was complete and included a case summary. The search designated to look up statutes was also easy and quick.

New Mexico

New Mexico's site is nicely designed and very easy to maneuver. The site contains cases from 1997 to the present. Cases, as well as statutes, are well organized and easy to search.

New York

New York's site is organized and extremely efficient. Court cases are available online from 1990 to the present. A search may be performed by keyword, topic, date or party name and is very quick to produce results. Reviewing a statute using search is very easy and furnishes a person with ample information.

North Carolina

North Carolina's site is well coordinated and very simple to search. Available case information dates back to 1994. The search function utilized in looking up statutes was prompt in yielding results.

North Dakota

The North Dakota site is clean and concise and the search function is incredibly fast. Court case information is offered in a full-text or a condensed version. This site employs Adobe Acrobat Reader to view statutes and the download took a long time to bring up the text.

Ohio

Ohio's site is straightforward and self-explanatory. Online case information is somewhat brief but does date back to 1992. In researching a statute, the search function was somewhat quick and easy.

Oklahoma

Oklahoma's site is easy to navigate and very organized. Cases available online are as follows: Supreme Court of Oklahoma, 1958 to present; Court of Civil Appeals, 1968 to present; and Court of Criminal Appeals, 1943 to present. Case information is abundant and easy to retrieve with the search function, as are statutes.

Oregon

Oregon's site is free of clutter and well ordered. Court case information is limited to cases filed in 1998. The search function for cases is quick and easy and displays a generous amount of information; however, looking up a statute was somewhat difficult and the search was not very user-friendly.

Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania's site is simple and somewhat organized. Cases filed prior to 1998 and after November 1996 must be downloaded in order to be viewed. Cases filed in 1998 are easily located with the search function, however, information is limited and files are not concisely organized. The complete Pennsylvania Statutes are not yet available free of charge on the internet.

Rhode Island

Rhode Island maintains a well organized and efficient site. Looking up statutes is virtually effortless. As Rhode Island court cases become available online, we will be providing links to them.

South Carolina

South Carolina's site is fairly organized and offers case information online dating back to 1996. You are offered the option of searching the site by first party name, second party name or keyword. The search was very quick and the case information, as well as the statute information, was well ordered.

South Dakota

South Dakota's site is well structured and features online court cases from 1996 to the present. (Case information for 1982-1997 is available on CD-ROM.) The search function was a bit buggy and yielded no results, however, case information was very organized. Researching a statute using search was somewhat easy and the results were generated quickly.

Tennessee

Tennessee boasts a very user-friendly site. Cases from 1996 to the present are available online. It took a substantial amount of time to download a case, however, the information was very organized and complete. The search function used in researching a statute was straightforward and expeditious.

Texas

Texas' site is somewhat self-explanatory and very organized. Looking up a statute via search produced swift results. As Texas court cases become available online, we will be providing links to them.

Utah

Utah's site is organized and very easy to use. The cases online date back to 1996 and are complete and well ordered. The statute search function was simple to use and produced rapid results.

Vermont

Vermont's site is well constructed and contains court cases filed May of 1990 to the present.   The search function is user-friendly and yielded results in ten seconds. (A unique function: you will be told exactly how long your query took to produce results.) Case information is well organized. Researching a statute was very easy and results were procured quickly.

Virginia

The Virginia site is very well organized and developed. There are approximately 18 months worth of court cases available through this site. The search function was quick and case information was complete. To look up a statute on this site is fairly self-explanatory and information is concise.

Washington

Washington's site is simple to understand and navigate. Court cases are maintained online for only 90 days. There are three options available for searching cases; you may view the most recent cases filed within the last 14 days, search by entering specific case criteria, or utilize a keyword search. The search function was easy to use and yielded results quickly. Reviewing a statute took some time but the information garnered was well organized.

West Virginia

West Virginia's site is nicely developed and easy to use. The search function employed in researching a statute is swift and very user-friendly. As West Virginia court cases become available online, we will be providing links to them.

Wisconsin

Wisconsin's site is straightforward and very user-friendly. The cases available online date back to 1995. The search produced results quickly. Looking up a statute was fairly easy without utilizing the search function.

Wyoming

Wyoming's site is simple and easy to use. Cases available online are from 1996 to the present. The search function is fast and case information, as well as statute information, is sufficient.
